PILOTRunning in a pilot at a customer site

Check the setup. See what needs attention.

A photo can capture multiple defined setup conditions at once. See the findings, address what needs attention, and keep the result with the work record.

01

Three outcomes, and only one of them is quiet

Accepted
Read clearly, matches the reference.
Above the upper threshold the reading is accepted. No operator action, nothing to dismiss.
No action
Confirm
Between the thresholds — a person looks.
The operator is standing at the equipment the photo is of. They look at it and attest to what they see.
“I have looked at this — it is correct.”
Attributable to a named operator
New photo
Below the lower threshold. No way past it.
The screen states what to change and shows one action. There is no override — not behind a menu, not for a supervisor.
Take a new photo
Cleared only by a new photo

Every band carries its own shape and its own word, so the screen still reads correctly in greyscale, through lead glass, and for a colour-blind operator.

02

Two kinds of red, told apart

Something is wrong at the equipment
The model read the image confidently, and what it read is wrong.
The vial is not fully inserted.
Push the vial down until it seats, then take a new photo.
The operator changes something at the equipment.
The image could not be read
Nothing is wrong at the equipment — the photo was.
Only one of the two cassette locks could be located.
Retake the photo front-on with both locks fully in frame.
Nothing needs to be changed on the equipment.

Both are cleared only by a new image. Only the instruction differs: the first asks for a change at the equipment, the second only for a new photo.

03

One photo, nineteen readings

A deliberately mis-assembled cassette, as the model reports it.
A setup often has more than one problem. Every reading is banded on its own, and the control takes the worst band.

1
unreadable
Cassette lock 1
Read: open · Expected: closed
Close the cassette lock, then take a new photo.
Segment 1, left inlet — connector size
Read: small · Expected: large
Replace with a large connector, then take a new photo.
Syringe holder — plunger
Read: not attached · Expected: attached
Check the plunger seating and confirm if correct.
Cassette locks — count
Read: 1 found · Expected: 2
Retake the photo front-on with both locks in frame.
Cassette card inserted
Read: yes · Expected: yes
Accepted, nothing to do.
Five of nineteen readings shown · one of the reds is an unreadable image, not a fault

Your model, your record, your decision per reading

Trained with you
A model for your check
Trained on your process, against payment. The model comes with a list of the readings it produces, so adding a reading is a data change, not a software release.
Mapped by your author
Link, create, or leave out
Each reading goes into a control that already exists, or into one created for it, or nowhere. Left-out readings are still retained.
On the iPad
Runs without a network
The model runs on the device. The reading is identical whether it ran there or on the server — and the record says which.
Frozen at approval
The version cannot drift
An approved master record is pinned to the model version it was approved against. Retraining needs a new record version, reviewed.
05

Why it holds up two years later

The model is support, not the record of truth.
No value enters the batch record on the model's authority alone. Three safeguards apply to every reading, and none of them can be switched off by configuration.
A threshold a qualified person set
Accepted readings enter on that bar, and the bar in force is recorded with the value.
A named operator in the middle band
Every confirmation carries who looked and when, against the physical equipment.
The photograph, kept unaltered
Every attempt, including the rejected ones, with the model and version it ran against.

Values are written through the same execution path as every other control — audit trail, reason for change, e-signature and review behaviour unchanged. Downstream steps handle the value like any other entered value.

06

Prepared for your process. Supported over time.

A model is built with you in eight steps: the scope and acceptance criteria are agreed first, your team photographs the states at your equipment, the images go straight into the platform, and the verified model is handed over for your validation. Each step has a named owner, and every image and decision is recorded.

For QA
The agreed use, representative examples, criteria set in advance, results and known limits, a versioned release, and later re-evaluation are the evidence this rests on — see validation & IT. A discussion of your setup does not replace your own independent software test.
